Fish Kalia or Macher Kalia is an authentic Bengali recipe. This is a must for all occasions and loved by all age groups. Macher Kalia I am referring to here is a delicious rich gravy-based recipe cooked with big fish pieces and Potato chunks. Macher Kalia gravy is superbly aromatic and silky in nature. This mouth-watering tasty gravy goes very well with steamed rice and bhajan. It’s one of the favorite menu options for all Bengali weddings.
I always prefer Katla fish over Rohu fish for Macher Kalia. However, you can use other fish as well.
