An authentic Bengali Fish Fry is a Spicy, delicious, fish fillet coated with spice, egg batter, cornflour, and oil fried Recipe. Fish Fry is served with sliced cucumber or Onions salad and Mayonnaise / Sauces. It can serve as a side with different rice combinations as well like GHEE BHAT(Rice), Cumin or JEERA RICE, etc. This recipe is very easy to follow. It’s a bachelor’s recipe that works as an appetizer or rice fish fry meal.

How to Make This Delicious FISH FRY?

In order to make this easy Fish Fry, Fish needs to double marination. The first marination process helps the fish to absorb flavors and spices and the Second marination is to give crispiness to the fish fry.

This fish fry recipe can be used in three different formats a grill, shallow fry, or pan-fry fish. All these methods give crusty fish which need to serve hot to have the best taste.

Use both basin (gram flour) and cornflour which give the flavor of a pakora.

A basic Fish Fry is a Spicy, delicious, fish fillet coated with spice, egg batter, cornflour and oil fried Recipe. Fish Fry is served with sliced cucumber salad and Mayonnaise / Sauces.

Ingredients
  • 1. 500 gm Basa Fish Fillet.
  • 2. 1 Teaspoon Salt.
  • 3. 1 Teaspoon Red Chili powder.
  • 4. 1 Teaspoon Ajinomoto.
  • 5. 3 Tablespoon Cornflower.
  • 6. 2 Tablespoon Maida.
  • 7. 6 Pcs Garlic chopped
  • 8. 1 Tablespoon Chopped Ginger
  • 9. 1 Teaspoon Ginger powder
  • 10. 2 Pcs Egg batter
  • 11. 4 Tablespoon Mustard Oil.
Directions
  • Step 1  Take bowl Add 1 Teaspoon Ajinomoto, 1 Teaspoon Red Chili powder, 6 Pcs Garlic chopped, 1 Tablespoon Chopped Ginger, 2 Tablespoon egg beater and Basa Fish Fillet. Mixed up well as well as marinate for half an hour.
  • Step 2  After Half an hour add 1 Tablespoon Cornflower, 0.5 Tablespoon Maida. Mixed them well.
  • Step 3  Mix Balance 2 Tablespoon Cornflower, 1.5 Tablespoon Maida & 1 Teaspoon Ginger powder. Coat Basa fish fillet with cornflower mix and make it ready for fry.
  • Step 4  Take 4 Tablespoon Mustard Oil in a nonstick frying pan and allow the oil to get heated. Post that cornflower coated Basa fish fillet in the heated oil for frying.
  • Step 5  Fry fish fillet 3mints each both side till it becomes golden brown.
  • Step 6  Thereafter Serve Basa Fish Fillet Ginger Garlic fry with cucumber & Mayonnaise.
